Anne P. Baker Gallery Presents “Wild African Adventures in Art”

April 12 – May 16, 2024 | Opening Reception April 12, 6pm to 7pm

The Anne P. Baker Gallery presents “Wild African Adventures in Art,” a multimedia exhibit by Maureen C. Berry. This collection is comprised of nearly 70 pieces and will be on display from April 12 through May 16, 2024. The community is invited to an opening reception on Friday, April 12, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Maureen C. Berry is an American visual artist based in Kentucky. She was first a food writer, seafood cookbook author, photographer, and speaker focusing on sustainability. She transitioned to art in 2020 after a life-threatening cancer diagnosis. Maureen’s core philosophy is to share stories of hope through art and show how humans can protect, preserve, and coexist with wildlife without sacrifice.

This exhibit includes watercolors, photographs, inks, acrylics, textiles, and other forms of media. Some items will be available for purchase.

The Anne P. Baker Gallery is located inside the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts on the campus of Madisonville Community College. The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours on Glema Center event days. Gallery admission is free.
