Toby, a Hopkins County native, gained 15 years Arts Administration experience in Louisville at the Kentucky Center for the Arts; working closely with groups such as The Louisville Orchestra, The Kentucky Opera, Broadway Across America, The Louisville Ballet, Actors Theatre Louisville, Stage One Family Theater, The Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park, The Brown Theater, The Louisville Orchestra, and Iroquois Amphitheater, among others.
His most recent responsibilities involved coordinating the nationally award winning Access Services department at the Kentucky Center; providing services for patrons with disabilities. Under his guidance, the services of Caption Theater, Audio Description, and ASL were expanded and offered to all major performance venues in the region. Before his career in Arts Admin, he operated family businesses in the private sector in Hopkins County and Evansville, IN.
He earned a Bachelor of Music Education (Voice) at Murray State and has been active in musical organizations in the region including The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, Paducah Symphony Orchestra, Voces Novae, and the Louisville Orchestra. Toby is happy to bring his arts admin experience home and contribute to the active arts community in Hopkins County.
