Workshop Opportunities

The Glema Center sometimes offers arts-related workshops in conjunction with a visiting artist’s main performance. Workshops may be designated for a particular school group, or may be open to the public.

These workshops are sometimes added during the season, so check back periodically for updates about programs that may have a workshop.

2023-24 Season Workshops (Updated 8/15/2023)

Community members and students ages 12 and up are invited to a FREE theatre workshop with members of the Cambridge American Stage Tour on Thursday, September 7, at 3:30 p.m. at the Glema Center.

As CAST will be performing Romeo and Juliet later that evening, the workshop will have a special focus on William Shakespeare.

Each workshop attendee will receive one complimentary ticket to that evening’s performance. This production of Romeo and Juliet takes place in a world very different to fair Verona. In a futuristic setting in the year 2123, the rival houses of Capulet and Montague fight to survive and gain control over the territory. In the midst of such chaos and bloodshed is a tender love story that fights against the odds and shows the beauty that can be found in the most unlikely places and situations. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

The Cambridge American Stage Tour has been crossing the Atlantic for over two decades to tour as a diverse company of undergraduate and postgraduate students up and down the east coast of the United States, visiting colleges, high schools, and professional venues.
