Auditions for Into the Woods will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts on the campus of Madisonville Community College in Madisonville, Kentucky.
THE STORY: The Brothers Grimm hit the stage with an epic fairytale about wishes, family, and the choices we make. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone’s favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece… and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.
The performances are July 12-14, 2024, at the Glema Center. Regularly scheduled rehearsals will begin May 21st. The casting calls for 18 performers of all vocal ranges. Auditions are open to performers age 16 and up. Those auditioning should prepare a monologue as well as one of the songs linked to the audition web page at GlemaCenter.org > Community > Into the Woods Auditions. The part auditioned with will not impact which roles each person is considered for. This production will be directed by Jamie Moss, and music director will be Liam Coursey.
