     A 1983 graduate in theatre from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, Brad worked in technical theatre in the Twin Cities and Duluth before moving to Madisonville in 1991 to serve as the first Technical Director at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts.
     Brad was promoted to Director in 1999 and has focused on growing community-based activities such as the Summer Arts Academies and reviving community theatre while maintaining the quality of the presenting program and arts-in-education programs. Brad and his wife, Susan Crosswait, share three boys, Ryan - 19, Evan - 11, and William - 9, as well as three dogs, two cats, and two frogs. When not at the Center, Brad can be found working on home improvement projects. He has just completed constructing a 500 square foot addition, a two-car garage, and a wrap-around deck. He is now building custom furniture for the addition.
     Brad serves on the Jesse Stuart Elementary School Site Based Decision Making Council, is President of the Hopkins County Education Foundation, is Chair of the Kentucky Presenters Network, is on the Advisory Committee for the Performing Arts Exchange, and has been appointed to the National Advisory Council for the proposed School of Professional Music associated with Hazard Community College.
